I. MS journal in 2 vols. of a voyage to Australia in the clipper Collingwood, 7 May-29 July 1886, landing in Adelaide; of his sojourn in Australia until 13 December 1886, and the return voyage to England in the same ship, landing 4 April 1887. It mostly concerns Melbourne and district, visits to Tasmania, Sydney, Brisbane, Walhalla and Toombow mining district by train and mail coach, Band and Albion mines at Ballarat. II. MS journal of voyage to Australia 25 October 1898-5 February 1899 in clipper Torrens, including an interesting account of a collision with an iceberg and cuttings from Australian newspapers regarding it. Also return journey in P and O ship Britannia 28 February-31 March 1899 arriving at Marseilles.
